  11. I have a 4000HD drive that won't format/read HD disk, but DD disk are OK.
  12. I have checked the sensor for the HD hole and it works fine.  How does
  13. amigados know if it is a HD or DD disk.  Does it just send a format/read
  14. command to the drive and the drive takes care of the rest of the operation?
  15. I don't want to replace the drive just to find out it is the motherboard or
  16. bad software.
